The muffler housing is made of high-quality titanium, the connecting pipe and the inner structure of the muffler are made of stainless steel. Equipped with a carbon end cap and heat shield, this exhaust system reduces weight by 33.4% (1.1 kg). The new design gives the motorcycle excellent durability and individuality. With the newly developed heat shield, the package provides protection for passengers while ensuring a unique overall appearance. A power increase of 1.8 kW (2.4 hp) at 9,400 rpm and a torque increase of 1.8 Nm at 8,100 rpm - compared to a Ducati DesertX equipped with the standard system and tested on Akrapovič's own dyno - accompanies perfect throttle response. The exhaust system is EC/ECE type-approved and can be easily installed using plug & play, without the need for re-mapping. Another upgrade can be achieved with the optional connecting pipe, designed for more power and a sportier sound experience. By installing the optional Link Pipe (stainless steel), the EC/ECE type approval of the Slip-On-Line exhaust system (titanium) is invalidated.
